The Centre for Financial Engineering (CFE) proposes to host the 2nd CUHK- Imperial College London workshop on quantitative finance. This workshop series was initiated in 2016 and ICL hosted the 1st one in London. The event aims to bring together researchers and PhD students from both universities in the field of quantitative finance and financial engineering to seek for and push forward research exchanges and collaborations.
Imperial College London is a world top ten university with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research of science, engineering, business, and medicine. The Mathematical Finance Section of the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London, is devoted to research on mathematical modelling and computational methods in finance. It is the largest research group in Mathematical Finance in the UK and is recognized as one of the world’s leading research groups in this field. CUHK is also excellent in the research of quantitative finance, financial engineering, and risk management. It launched the first undergraduate program in Financial Technology in Hong Kong. This joint workshop series will greatly promote research collaborations between two world-class universities and enhance the competitiveness edge and impacts of both schools in the field.
